Gut Reactions: Villa Steal a Win at Wolves

I have absolutely no idea how Villa won that game.
However, after losing the last two games undeservedly, I don’t really care.
That was Villa’s worst performance of the season.
The defence and goalkeeper are the only group that can be happy with how they played.
Emi Martinez kept the game alive and without him, Wolves would have taken all three points.
Matty Cash will be missed; he was about the only player bringing the juice for Villa on a day when the general display was sleepy and soft.
This was the first game that Villa have truly missed Barkley.
Villa’s midfielders have to stop losing the ball in stupid areas; it’s putting the defence under pressure too often.
I thought this was one of Matt Targett’s better games.
Villa’s first shot on target was in 66th minute and they only had two all game.
This was Douglas Luiz’s worst game that I can remember.
Traore struggled and if Trezeguet isn’t back from what I assume is an injury, El Ghazi should get a chance against Burnley.
El Ghazi showed balls of steel to convert that penalty. Happy for him after a tough start to the season.
Back into the top half with Burnley and the Baggies up next.
