Gut Reactions: Villa Lose for the First Time This Season

Matty Cash is a real one and was Man of the Match for Villa by a mile.
Attackers made the wrong decision in the final third too often in the first half.
It felt like whoever scored first would run away with it. Yep.
The game turned when Grealish didn’t score at the end of his marathon run and then Konsa’s volley was saved from the resulting corner. Leeds scored a few minutes later.
No qualms with Smith’s game plan. We went toe-to-toe with them, didn’t take our chances and then got burned. It happens.
Patrick Bamford really is a loathsome human being.
Barkley was poor in the build-up to the second goal.
Villa’s centre-backs’ penchant for backing off bit Villa on the ass for the second and third goals. Gave Bamford a free shot for both.
Still a great start to the season. Shake it off and go again next week.
